Our Herd
Forty acres of coastal Oregon pasture. Seven Clydesdales. Twenty-six years of living alongside some of the finest draft horses in the Pacific Northwest.
At Unhitched Ranch in Brookings, Oregon, every horse has a name, a role, and a story. We don’t run a boarding operation or a riding school — this is a working ranch built around a genuine love for the Clydesdale breed, and these horses reflect that. They are well-kept, well-trained, and very much individuals.
Meet the Horses
Jack the Stallion
The heart of the breeding program. A Clydesdale stallion of rare quality and commanding presence — the reason this ranch exists.
Duke
The gentle giant. Over 1,800 pounds of quiet confidence and easy temperament — first to the fence, last to leave.
King
Regal bearing, willing mind. King is the team anchor — steady, reliable, and a natural partner in the show arena.
Iggy
Personality first, draft horse second. Iggy is opinionated, energetic, and one of the most entertaining horses on the ranch.
Eddie
The workhorse’s workhorse. Eddie doesn’t need the spotlight — he just shows up and does his job, every single time.
Tegan
The mare who runs the social dynamics of the entire herd without lifting a hoof. Businesslike in harness, authoritative in the pasture.
Kora
The youngest of the herd, and already showing the bone and presence of something exceptional. Watch this one.

We breed for temperament first, type second. Jack’s foals carry both. If you’re looking for a quality Clydesdale from proven Pacific Northwest bloodlines, get in touch.
